weight loss

As I've blogged on my earlier post, with too much stress and late nights at work I am not surprised that I've lost weight recently. A good ten pounds weight loss for the past three months. My friends are wondering if I am into
adapexin weight loss pill. Some even wonder if I still continue taking the L-Carnitine medication which speeds up my metabolism rate. Too their dismay, I would always answer my weight loss attributed to work. Work and more work! Sleepless nights and unending worries on how to meet my sales quota for the year. Wish I am losing weight voluntarily, but unconsciously, I am heading to thin-ville with too much stress-related activities in the workplace. Is this good or bad? For now, I don't know. Hoping it is for the best.

payday bonus news

Happy news at work! Recently received a memo from our company HR announcing our performance merit increase. Weeee!! And for a job well-done last year, that is for hitting my sales quota ... will be gettting a bonus this year with payout release by this month. Great!! Perfect timing as I am already contemplating of availing payday advances to cover our family trip this month to Hongkong Disneyland. Isn't that great news ... more reason to celebrate and shop!! =)

happy at work

It's the time of the month and paychecks already here ...everyone happy at work today.

Aside from our salary and usual allowances, received my performance bonus also today. Weee!! Thanks to my overwhelming 2010 performance, and my boss gave me a performance bonus. Yes, aside from hitting my set target last year, my projects were all implemented and returned a good revenue for the company. Aside from being monitored by performance appraisals and performance management software, the company also implemented a 360 feedback from our internal support team. Hence, happy that I passed all these metrics with flying colors. And the end result ...more shopping moolah for me! Hahaha! Thank you, Bayan.

Executive Golf Event

Will be off on a trip again in a few days, this is for our company's annual Executive Golf Event for our clients. For three days will be spending much of our time at the beautiful Davao City -- at Ranchos Palos Verdes. We've arranged activities for our Club Bayan customers, aside from whole day golf play, we also added city tour, zip line and night parties! Really excited! It will be my first time to visit Davao, and I look forward to explore the place. I look forward to meet the smiling people of the South, taste the famous Durian fruit, and check the best cigar in town. Hmmm...could this be true? Let's see.

DSL equipment preference

One of our best home appliance ever invested (and thoroughly used) is our Linksys router. Eversince we had our Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) installed, our WiFi Linksys router works non-stop almost twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and holidays. You can say it is our most used, and abused appliance at home. Hahaha! Despite the abuse of our WiFi router, I am one happy customer since we never had problem with the appliance. In fact whenever my corporate clients would request for hardware recommendations for their internet links, my only choice ... router from Linksys. Durable and always reliable.

desktop upgrades

After months of waiting, the desktop computers of my team was finally upgraded. I received an email from our IT Department that the Carriers and Partners Team-Sales Team will finally received 2GB upgrade of their RAM. Though I would prefer unit replacement of the entire team desktop computers , the upgrade still a welcome option since we are cutting down OPEX cost lately. Finally, running ICMS and Customer Retention Management (CRM)applications will no longer be a problem for the team. They can now access our customer's profile efficiently and effectively, thus using the CRM application as sales management tool. And hopefully given the team the right tool, here's management hoping they will increase sales production by 2010.

back from Cebu trip

Yes, I am soo back after a three-day conference at Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu. It was hot, sun-shiny weather at Cebu. Perfect for swimming at the beach and soaking under the sun. Total opposite from the cold, rainy and floody streets of Manila. Sadly, was not able to enjoy the good weather here. I was so busy meeting clients for three-days!

My original plan for a little R&R before I give birth did not materialize. In fact, I even booked airfare and accommodation for two, that is for myself and my daughter, Samantha. Availed the low-fare promo from PAL and Local Resident's Package Shangri-la Resort. But at the last minute, I've decided to go alone because of hectic work schedule. Hotel booking cancelled, but the airfare was non-refundable. Too bad.

Anyway, despite working ... still enjoyed my stay. It ended up as bonding time for me and the husband together with our friends from the telecom industry. Of course, despite all the fun and partying ... we are still working! LOL.

I was able to get copy of my picture from the last night party of the ACC event. Looking at the picture, you'll see not only that I am in need of weight loss supplements , but the husband as well. Hahaha! With all the buffet food (and Cebu lechon) during our three-day stay, I strongly believed he gained few pounds from it. Even our friends can attest to it! Now he's desperate to go into crash diet. Poor husband. He's trying to cut down his rice intake lately and I hope (and pray) it'll work. Really wish him luck. Hahaha!

busy week ahead

I've been very busy lately with work, summer outings and social gatherings that I forgot to do some urgent household errands for the family.

Things to do this week :

1. grocery shopping : I just found out this morning that we ran out of household supplies like detergent and laundry soap, paper towels and kitchen essentials. Missed doing my bi-monthly grocery trip. Very bad wifey! Hehehe!
2. decide if will pursue family travel to Hongkong by June. With all the H1N1 swine flu scare, need to be prepared. 3. confirm hotel reservations : Marriot Hotel or Hotel Nikko HK.
4. bank chores : transfer funds, complete payment, request for bank certification.

5. confirm flight bookings of my aunt based in LA. Check out Stratosphere hotel or other best casino hotel for my aunt who will be staying in Vegas for three days.
6. finalize amazon order for Avent sterilizer. Need to have it shipped asap.

7. check out Johnny Air cargo freight charges for amazon bought items.
8. follow up my travel approval request for Singapore : June 15-18
9. if Singapore travel papers approved by management, check out Amara or M Hotel at Shenton Way, SNG.
10. request for Certificate of Employment from HR.
11. finalize house re-painting plans. short-list contractors to do the job.
12. check out current market price of my Honda car ... thinking of upgrading the unit by June as a birthday gift from the husband.

I hope (and pray) that I'll be able to complete all the tasks listed above. Wish me luck!

too much partying

This week, had too much partying. Too much that I am now sick and with a really, really bad cough. I guess from late night partying and alcohol-drinking (tequila and vodka sprite) lol.
If you will see me now, I am not at my usual self. I look like a walking zombie coughing wildly with those tired, puffy eyes. As much as I want to leave from work, I can't. Need to finalize end of the year numbers. Plus it is our OPEX budget season. Haaayyyy...so much to do with so little time! I can't even check online for some diet products I plan to give for the husband. You see, like me, he needs to trim down his weight too. With his excessive partying for the past weeks, I am sure he gained few pounds from all those carbo-loaded party food and beer-drinking sessions. Anyway, to share some of our party pictures.

December 15, Bayan's Company Party at The Arena, San Juan

boxing match and sale

Off to Podium Mall later. Nope, not to check out their Christmas sale but to watch the super boxing fight of the season. Our company sponsored special screening of Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight as an advance Christmas treat for our valued-clients. With the free screening, popcorn and meal ... I am sure our clients will have a blast.

The husband is excited to join me later. I think this is the only one of the few times he will attend our company affair. Of course the main reason, the boxing match of Pacquiao and de la Hoya. As for me, will just check the event but will not watch the fight. Too much violence, too bloody for my taste. Not my cup of tea! Thus, while the game is on, I'll do what I love most ... shopping! Need to get Christmas gifts for my kris-kringle baby, grocery supply like milk and disposable diaper for my grandmother.

Anyway, I am hopeful that Pacquiao will win the game. Pride and glory of the Filipino people at stake here. Despite non-title match, I am sure both of the boxers can feel the pressure to win. For the whooping prize of $100-M for 12 rounds at the MGM Grande Arena. Really hoping...

another summit.

As I've blogged the other day, I am looking forward to another vacation. This time, just simply relaxation time with my family ... no work involved. Just hubby and the kids. Since I'll be faced with new responsibilities, new challenges, new work load with my new job ... I think I need to re-charge and rejuvenate.

Thus, I am thinking of joining hubby with his upcoming trip for a little R&R. I was told that he might be sent to US again for another carrier's meeting. The timing, not sure yet. It might be as early as November or probably by January 2009. It is the same convention as last year but I decided not to join him for practical reasons. But this year, I think I'll insist. I really need a long vacation badly. Hopefully the carrier's summit meet will be in a different placee instead of the usual venue in Hawaii. Probably NY, LA or Las Vegas perhaps. I so want to stay and visit the posh hotel las vegas. Enjoy the sights and fabulous shows, do casino hopping and wild shopping along the Vegas strip. Or probably stroll along Hollywood Boulevard in LA. I really hope new place this time. Anyway, why complain on the summit venue. Hubby's not sure to go yet. Hahaha! But just in case, I am already started dropping hints to the husband about my vacation plans. It's going to be his travel with ME in tow this time. lol.

in need of vacation

After my six days HK hiatus, I am back to the blogging world. Lots of pending raket awaits for my completion, papers need to sign and to top it off, hundreds of email correspondences also required my immediate reply. I am having a hard time getting my work groove back. Coming back to work is sooo overwhelming especially with the good news I've shared here.
Haayyy... I think I need a vacation after this HK vacation. Perhaps it is about time to consider vacation houses near the beaches for ultimate R&R with the family. I saw a nice vacation rental houses available online at Outer Banks rentals. Location very much ideal and the price really reasonable. Might consider this on my next vacation.
For the meantime, back to reality. Need to finish all my pending work to enjoy the weekend off by tomorrow.
Happy weekend everyone!
