busy week ahead

I've been very busy lately with work, summer outings and social gatherings that I forgot to do some urgent household errands for the family.

Things to do this week :

1. grocery shopping : I just found out this morning that we ran out of household supplies like detergent and laundry soap, paper towels and kitchen essentials. Missed doing my bi-monthly grocery trip. Very bad wifey! Hehehe!
2. decide if will pursue family travel to Hongkong by June. With all the H1N1 swine flu scare, need to be prepared. 3. confirm hotel reservations : Marriot Hotel or Hotel Nikko HK.
4. bank chores : transfer funds, complete payment, request for bank certification.

5. confirm flight bookings of my aunt based in LA. Check out Stratosphere hotel or other best casino hotel for my aunt who will be staying in Vegas for three days.
6. finalize amazon order for Avent sterilizer. Need to have it shipped asap.

7. check out Johnny Air cargo freight charges for amazon bought items.
8. follow up my travel approval request for Singapore : June 15-18
9. if Singapore travel papers approved by management, check out Amara or M Hotel at Shenton Way, SNG.
10. request for Certificate of Employment from HR.
11. finalize house re-painting plans. short-list contractors to do the job.
12. check out current market price of my Honda car ... thinking of upgrading the unit by June as a birthday gift from the husband.

I hope (and pray) that I'll be able to complete all the tasks listed above. Wish me luck!

acne problems

"MOM, Heeellp!"

I was surprised when Ico called this morning for help. I thought he was hurt or hit by something, but to my surprise, he was holding his face and trying to cover big zit on his forehead. Totally relieved and laughing, I told him to not to worry so much about the big zit! I was able to find on the web an effective and affordable acne treatments that will immediately solve his problem. Apparently, he wanted quick remedy to eliminate the zit soon since he will be hosting an upcoming event in school. With the big zit on his forehead, he's very much worried that his schoolmates will notice and make a big joke about it. Aaahh boys .. you know how they can be cruel and insensitive sometimes. Luckily the web offers safe, effective and affordable acne treatments for parents like me. Now I can treat acne safe and fast without the trouble of testing all the products available in the store.

baby things as investments

This post taken from the point of view of my husband. A first-time and hands on Dad to our loving daughter, Samantha ...
I am a Dad. I provide for my family. And when my first born was on her way, my wife and I prepared frantically for the things that would be needed (mind you, would emphasize on the “needed” part). This involves preparing the cute baby clothes, feeding bottles and most importantly, the accessories.

The accessories make up the most of the “investment” for your child’s first years. And this includes the baby cribs, feeding chair, pushchair, prams and travel cots. And these things pretty much covers the bulk of the investment … say about 60% of the entire budget. At first, I do not really see the value of such especially the baby pushchairs! Told my wife that it better to carry the child in your arms while malling or going out of town. And oh boy … was I ever wrong! Thank God for these inventions! Imagine we have to go up & down several floors while shopping?! That will certainly take its toll on you especially if you have stand in line paying … and all these things you have to do “holding your child” in your arms. Even though it feels good at first, but when the duration takes it toll, your baby will certainly become heavier & heavier.

Another underappreciated investment is the high chair. Several times you’ll say that it’s not that frequently used since you normally feed while carrying your baby, right? Wrong! If you look at it closely, the passive high chair is a very integral part of your child’s growth progress. It helps you child to naturally develop the proper sitting posture while eating. The exercise for patience and discipline starts with the high chair. This develops your child’s sense of time (to eat, of course!). And most of all, fun times are found mostly at the dinning table! And you won’t miss it for the world to see your child share that moment with the family!

Traveling cots with accessories really organizes things for your baby and you. No more leaving behind small things that your baby will need. It’s like bringing a mini-baby cabinet! So, that means you have enough space to get your things in as well.

So, are these bad investments? Not a chance! Not only it exemplified the real meaning of the word investment, but also made your child’s childhood meaningful. And now you know why your grandparents and parents keep the old baby things treasured like a family heirloom! Who knows? Maybe you can save up these investment for your child’s family.

online casino playing

I love watching Las Vegas series. Not because of the fancy clothes and great actors, but I love the Vegas casino setting. I can still remember how I was captivated with its beautiful blinking lights while walking at the famous Vegas strip, amazed with the dancing fountain show at Bellagio, and fascinated with the glamour and glitz of Vegas casino like Paris, MGM and Lisboa. I enjoyed my experience of playing roulettes and slots at Ceasar’s and Wynn casinos floor. It’s a totally unforgettable experience just being there.

The same playing experience when you check online gambling casinos at firecasinos.com . An online gaming site that gives players truly Vegas casino strip feel. It is simply like stepping inside literally and playing in one of Vegas casino floors! Even fascinating are the absolutely awesome bonus promotions! Do check it out since the site offers latest software complete with up-to-date graphics and remarkable sounds. Truly a great experience for online casino lovers out there.

On Paid Blogging Business

I am tempted to join the blogging business ...

For the past nights..while hubby was away, I was glued on my computer waiting for him to be online. While waiting, I started browsing some of paid blog posts. I actually started reading some of the posts and enjoyed reading most of them. Very informative. And looking at it seemed so easy to do. Well, I think I can write few words or paragraphs on any topic under the sun. Also, I think I have few hours to spare every night to do some posts. Hmmmm...

Then, it suddenly hit me ... I think I am ready to join the hungry wolves bandwagon (as jen aptly termed it!)

But first, I need to learn some blogging basics.

1. Start my papypal account. Philippine-based much better. -- meron na ba?
2. Increase my page rank. How kaya...any tips?
3. Enlist on some paid blog advertisments.
4. Start blogging.

Hmmmm.. sounds very easy noh! Not sure if correct ito blogging basics ko.

I really need help from the blogging gurus like : Aggie, Jane, Joy and Peachy...and most of you pala na into paid blogging. Hahaha! Ako na lang yata naiwan sa "raket" na ito....

Here's another to do list for my 2008 Projects ... Wish me luck girls! :)
