priceless.

My bundles of joy. My kids. My treasures.

I wish I can stop time so they will be forever be my babies. They will forever be mine. But, they grew up so fast. So fast, that I can't keep up. My little pretty princess turning seven, and my cute prince will no longer be a tot as he turns two.

Yes, little girl no more. She'll turn seven in a next few months. Day by day, she's becoming very strong and independent. No longer a cry baby. I should be happy with her new found independence, but I am not. In fact, sadness fills my heart. My little baby, now a gradeschooler can handle herself. Next few years, she might need less of me. I an afraid when that day comes. And I must be ready. But for now, she's still my baby. My pretty little princess, Samantha.

Trick or Treat!

The kids attended our company's annual Halloween Trick or Treat, and it was all fun! This year, Samantha came as the pretty witch, while Migo came as the little red devil boy. It was Migo's first halloween party and visit to my office, and boy he had so much fun! He enjoyed walking and going around the cubicles, grabbing all the things he can grab! Hahaha! All in all, the kids had a blast getting candies and treats. Tomorrow, will be off to another trick or treatin' ... this time at Sofitel Hotel. Will post more Halloween photos tomorrow =)

Funny, Migo!

This is one of my favorite photo of the little boy, Migo. Lately, he's so good in imitating adults and this funny facial expression is just one of his ways of saying : "Watch me, I am a real cutie!" Of course, how can we say no with this adorable boy. Don't you just love him? =)

Migo's 10th

Yes, the biggie boy already at ten months old. Time flies so fast. My little boy now at ten months can start walking few steps on his own, and babbles a lot! He's few weeks away from his birthday and as early as now he's showing some signs of independence. He stands, sits and squats on his own too. His favorite game, throw and dunk. Hahaha! As he would throw all things can be found on his crib and you need to dunk to avoid being hit by balls, toys or his bottle of milk. Well, that's my biggie boy =) Simply irresistible.

baby updates

Updates on the little tot ...

At eight months he's got an appetite like a one year old kid. He eats solid food and no longer enjoys mashed fruits and veggies. He enjoys table food like pasta, fish, shrimps, soups with rice! His sleeping patterns almost normal like an adult, with less fuss in the wee hours of the morning. He can sleep eight hours or more straight without waking up for milk. He loves afternoon naps as well as his bath and play time. Playtime for Migo includes going out for afternoon stroll with yaya within the village, and practice walks using the traditional walker or "andador". He loves to crawl and walk so much lately which is why I need to get him soft and comfy shoes that is ideal for walking.
And speaking of walking, I've been checking out the web for possible baby walking shoes that is sturdy, comfortable, and durable for outdoor walks. And so far, I found mbt shoes which is great in the pocket. Almost perfect, unfortunately, the mbt shoes not for his my little tot's age. Anyhoo, more update on the little boy to follow next weeks ... for the meantime, enjoy these cutie little pics I took last week. :)

baby's eczema

Any suggestion where I can find information on eczema treatment? I am bothered with my baby's small patch of skin discoloration on his cheeks, and I wonder if this is eczema or just part of his skin changes. He's six months old only, and the blotch is very evident on his face. It's not itchy, and no reddish mark ... but the blotch is quite noticeable. Although my pedia assured me that nothing to be alarmed, as it is just normal skin changes and he advised me not to put any cream as it will go away eventually. But the OA mommy me really bothered. Have you experienced this on your child? Please let me know as I want to get much information as possible.

Migo's 1st Bday updates

It was decided, Migo's 1st birthday party would be on November 14, Sunday. It will be a joint-celebration with his Ate Samantha, who will be celebrating her 6th birthday of the same month.

For the party theme, it was initially Pirates. With Migo as Peterpan and Samantha as Tinkerbell ... perfect choice! After searching for decors and give-aways on the web, I changed the party theme. You see, having a Pirate theme not applicable for a one year old birthday party. With all the skulls and bones design, not appropriate. Thus, for second option ... jungle animals. Generic and applicable either for boy or girl celebrant.
Anyway, three months ago I already started my party preps for my son's 1st birthday party. I thought it would be easy since I have ample time to prepare for his big birthday bash. Well, with nine months planning time ... still acceptable.

Unfortunately, I was dead-wrong! I was able book my favorite caterer (who happens to be in-demand always!), but had a difficuly getting a nice venue. Yaikees! Getting a party venue was oh-so difficult. Most of the clubhouses I wanted already booked on my scheduled party date. Darn! I tried booking Valle Verde 6, Acropolis, Northeast Greenhills, Forbes, Corinthian's and The Grove, Rockwell. All booked, reserved and paid for Sunday, November 14. Though I tentatively booked Fully Booked Rooftop and St. Francis Party Hall, I am still half-hearted. I am not happy with both of the venues. Parking, especially at St. Francis Hall will be a big problem. It will be very inconvenient for my guests.

Thus, after deliberating and checking all the clubhouses left, I ended up getting Valle Verde 2. Not on my top five choice for party venue but still ok. As I wanted a clubhouse with a high ceiling for aesthetic (or decor) purposes. Already booked and paid the fee and still hoping I can still find better venue next months to come. Otherwise, I am stuck and have to make do with Valle verde 2. Not bad at all.

The last days of May proved to be very stressful for my party venue hunt. I dont know if my diet pills worked but I lost around three pounds for my venue hunt. Pure stress, maybe. It may sound over-acting, but believe me I was already in panic if I can't get the right place for my kids party.

And to proved my point that it is indeed difficult to book for 2nd week of November, I just tried booking for my daughter's 7th birthday for 2011. Yes, you read it right ... for November 2011. And lo and behold, as I called Valle Verde 6 ... again, my preferred date already booked! Incredible, eh?

Happy and Bubbly at 6th!

The little squirt turned six months the other day. How time flies fast! At six, I already started feeding him solid food. Yes, few weeks early as his upper incisor teeth already showing, he now has four teeth. Two lower incisors which erupted when he was four months old, and the upper teeth just a week ago. Physically, he's big at six months. He's already over ten kilos, a little chubby but healthy.

With Migo at six months, He's half-way near his first birthday. And I haven't accomplished anything yet for his upcoming party! Well, except for boking the caterer. LOL. I am too, not ready yet. As I want to be back to my pre-preggo weight by the time he turns one. I've been busy searching online some quick weight loss tips as I need to be back in shape too by the time Migo celebrates his first birthday. Yay! pressure on me. LOL Wish me luck.

Happy 4th, Migo!

The little squirt turned four months last March 11. Yes, four months already. Time flies so fast.

At four months, Baby Miguel:
* sleeps regularly (thank, God!) during the night.
* his feeding cycles already determined and established.
* very curious with his surroundings, enjoys loooking at people and things.
* so playful and responds to people around him. He loves all the attention showed to him.
* more active and can now play with his toys.
* can hold his head up high, and can raise his body while lying on his tummy.
* he babbles, laughs and screams.

And to capture these special moments of my little boy, I am thankful that I have with me my ever-dependable point-and-shoot digicam with me all the time. Keeping memorabilia is now easy and convenient especially with the available picture printers locally. Now I need to check out Flexo ink cleaner for the printers, for a safer and more environment-friendly checmical formula.

Miguel at 2 months

The little squirt turned 2 months old today. Time flies so fast. From 7.3 lbs to 8.5 lbs. Quite a biggie, right? His appetite is growing and can finish 4oz. of milk every 3 hours. His sleep patterns still erratic, normally he wakes up in between 3am to 5am. Urgh! Believe me, I am like a walking zombie. My only consolation, I get good number of hours of sleep every morning since I leave baby migo to his yaya to catch a wink.
As a two-month old baby, Migo can lift his head and can hold it longer when lying on his stomach. He's starting to communicate by cooing and smiling. Aside from sucking or placing his fingers inside his mouth, he moves quite a lot especially waving his arms and stretching his legs. He also loves to gaze around, tilting his head from side to side and easily responds to my voice. I noticed he loves listening to people around him especially if you talk to him directly. He's a real cutie! Less cries heard but unfortunately, he's a spoiled baby and demands to be held most of the time. Happy 2-month birthday baby miguel!! :)

Migo's First Out of Town Trip

Last Sunday, we went for a short trip to Tagaytay Highlands. It was an impromptu trip, as always. We just decided the night before that we want to bring out Baby Miguel and have breakfast at Antonio's. And since it was Baby Migo's first out of town trip, naturally we want to capture all his firsts via our new Sony digital camera. LOL. Check out how we enjoyed the sun and cold weather of Tagaytay below.

Hello, Baby Migo!

Finally, the long wait is over!
Gave birth last November 11, Wednesday to a healthy baby boy via Normal Section Delivery at Medical City, Pasig. It was quite an easy delivery for me compared to my previous pregnancy, though I felt the enduring labor pains few minutes prior giving birth. Thank heavens for the anaesthesia shots, I was awake the entire birthing process.
Welcome world for the arrival of our new baby :
Miguel Iñigo Gabriel or Baby Migo
